01 — Overview

The challenge

SI can compress days of research and analysis into hours, but unverified output can also mislead decisions. Analysts and specialists need methods that capture the speed while protecting accuracy, traceability and professional credibility.

About this workshop

Knowledge workers spend much of their time finding, reading, analyzing and synthesizing information. This workshop builds end-to-end research and analysis workflows with SI: from framing the question and gathering sources, through document and data analysis, to a verified, decision-ready output. Verification and source discipline are built into every step.

02 — Who it is for

  • All professionals
  • Functional specialists
  • People managers
  1. 04.1Analysts, researchers, consultants and advisors.
  2. 04.2Strategy, finance, procurement, policy and market-intelligence roles.
  3. 04.3Managers who prepare briefings and decision papers.
  4. 04.4Legal, compliance and audit professionals working with large document sets.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. 01Frame research questions and plan SI-supported research workflows.
  2. 02Use deep-research and search-enabled assistants while evaluating source quality.
  3. 03Analyze large document collections through extraction, comparison, classification and synthesis.
  4. 04Perform data analysis with SI, including code-executing assistants, and validate the results.
  5. 05Produce decision-ready outputs with transparent sources and stated uncertainty.

04 — Curriculum

3 days, 6 modules. In live virtual delivery each day runs as two half-day sessions.

Day01

  1. Research design

    • Framing questions and hypotheses
    • Choosing between search, deep research and internal sources
    • Hands-on: a research plan for a live business question
  2. Sources and verification

    • Evaluating source quality and recency
    • Checking citations and quoted evidence
    • Recording provenance for every finding

Day02

    • Extraction and comparison across many documents
    • Classification and tagging at scale
    • Retrieval-based knowledge bases: how they work and how they fail
  2. Data analysis with SI

    • Exploring datasets with natural-language questions
    • Code-executing assistants for analysis and charts
    • Validating numbers, methods and assumptions

Day03

Practical skills developed

  1. 01Question framing and research planning.
  2. 02Source evaluation and citation verification.
  3. 03Document intelligence: extraction, comparison and classification at scale.
  4. 04SI-assisted data analysis and visualization, with result checking.
  5. 05Synthesis writing: executive summaries and briefing notes.

06 — Outcomes

Research and analysis take less time while every finding stays traceable to its source.

Expected outcomes

  • Participants apply consistent verification standards to SI-assisted work.
  • Large document and data sets become practical to analyze within normal deadlines.
  • Decision-makers receive clearer, better-sourced briefings.

Participants leave with

  1. 01A documented research workflow template.
  2. 02A verification and provenance checklist.
  3. 03A completed capstone briefing on a real business question.
